Indore: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, inaugurated a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital and unveiled a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, built at a cost of around Rs 6 crore. The cutting-edge equipment, provided by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. The inauguration ceremony included ribbon-cutting for the CT scan room, prayers, and a detailed briefing on the machine's features. The new building, constructed by the Public Works Department, will address the space issues highlighted by the Dental Council of India during inspections. Additionally, the state government will be installing an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting students and outpatients. CM Yadav expressed that these new medical facilities underscore the government's commitment to improving healthcare services in the state. He emphasized that the advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses, while the new building at the dental college will provide students with top-notch facilities. During his visit, Yadav also inspected the forthcoming ISBT at MR-10, slated for operation in December. He announced that Indore will soon house India's largest inter-state bus terminal (ISBT), designed akin to an airport, which will be a significant addition to the state's infrastructure and a notable landmark for the city.The upcoming Simhastha religious gathering has prompted the construction of a new 15-acre facility, costing Rs 101 crore and built by IDA. This terminal is expected to greatly enhance the travel experience for passengers, with the capacity to handle up to 80,000 passengers daily and accommodate 1,440 buses continuously. The ISBT will include 14 ticket counters, a parking facility for 1,000 vehicles, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College. While speaking to the employees of the Sanchi Dairy Plant, the CM assured that there would be no job layoffs, emphasizing the government's commitment to bolster the dairy sector and support dairy cooperatives. Additionally, the CM unveiled the statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, honoring her community's environmental protection efforts. During his visit to Indore, the CM sought the blessings of Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign,' which has conducted blood tests for approximately 50,000 individuals.
